What decaffeination process does Grind use?Updated 2 months ago

The coffee beans used in our pods are decaffeinated using the sugarcane process, a low-intervention, planet-friendly method using a natural solvent (ethyl acetate) to gently remove the caffeine.

To reduce waste, the caffeine is then kept aside and sold to energy drink companies. One of the best things about the use of ethyl acetate is that it can easily be converted back into water and other organic elements, meaning no pollution of local water sources—a big issue of decaf in the past.
